Nine motivated BW/F and DF/BWCC employees have reason to celebrate. They received Association of Multicultural Members of Partners (AMMP) scholarships last week to help them fulfill their educational and career goals.
“The more you develop your skills, the better this organization will be,” Lisa Ponton, JD, MSW, vice president of Human Resources said to the recipients. “You have been identified as someone special to the organization who can give back to make us a better organization.”
The recipients have a range of aspirations, including becoming a health information manager, a surgical technologist and a radiologist. The scholarship can be put towards an undergraduate degree or certificate program from an accredited institution. Full- and part-time employees in good standing are eligible.
“I haven’t seen a better return on an investment than on the AMMP scholarship,” said BWH President Gary Gottlieb, MD, MBA, during the ceremony. “I’m inspired by what the recipients are doing.”
Recipients are expected to be active members of AMMP for six months after receiving the scholarship.
